Plan out your project[3]. Create a Gantt chart[1].

Estimate the time that you think it will take you to complete tasks. Don’t forget to include time to learn new skills.

Your teacher or project manager will likely set deadlines for when you have to deliver certain components, put these into your plan as well.

Set milestone[2] dates for when work should be completed.

Allow for contingency time in your project, this is so that if/when something happens you have time to use to catch up.

Update your project plan and reflect[4] on it regularly.

Github Projects has useful tools for tracking your project using a Kanban board and setting milestones. By committing your work you also complete a log of your work.
