Length: 10 minutes

You will have a limited amount of time to complete the project[3]. This includes time in class and time outside of class at home and at school.

You also need[4] to consider other commitments such as work and other school subjects and when there are periods that you might not be able to work on the project.

Break your project down into smaller more manageable chunks to make it easier to monitor your progress. It is easier to track I have made my player character[1] move rather than a larger less well defined task like build a prototype[2] player.

Always factor in contingency time to your project in case[5] (when) something happens.

Terms definitions
2. prototype. Prototyping is the modelling[8] of a realised but yet-to-be-implemented technological outcome[11]. The purpose of prototyping is to evaluate the fitness for purpose[6] of a technological outcome against the brief[12] and is undertaken to establish (or not) a defendable case for its implementation, refinement or further development.
3. project. A series of tasks that need to be completed in order to reach a specific outcome
4. need. An identified requirement of a person, group, or environment[9]. A need is identified from an issue[13] and sits within a context[14]. Technological practice[7] can be undertaken in an attempt to meet an identified need.
5. case. A control[15] mechanism in which the value of a variable[10] or expression changes the execution of a program and which usually involves multiple branches.
