Critical evaluation

Making a judgement in a way that is not influenced by your personal feelings or opinions. You look at just the facts. ALT: Evaluating and analysing an issue, opportunity, concept, or idea in a way that considers both positive and negative qualities of the thing, and the impacts of those qualities.
